Arrival of New Litter (AM)!
We are very excited to announce the arrival of a new litter from Doe Satin (C4) x Buck Avalanche (B3). Satin hails from Tennessee commercial breeder, Chigger Ridge Rabbitry. Commercial breeders select for very different qualities than show breeders and production numbers are valued much more than looks. While Satin is not the prettiest doe, she makes up for it in her litter production.
Satin’s last litter was her first. She had a litter of 11! This was a new record for our rabbitry so we are completely blow away by what happned today. Satin’s new litter today contains 14 kits! Yes, that’s not a typo, she had 14 kits. All 14 kits arrived healthy and are doing well. We are extremely pleased to see Satin continuing to demonstrate her ability to prouce large litters.
